God’s Given Grace

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

When all the natural fails and all that is left for us is to reach out to the supernatural and seek God’s free gift of Grace; the real challenge becomes then, do we just seek it to capture it, never maintain it, or share it? Or do we need this grace just to get through the current season?

In my opinion, after we reap the benefits of this God’s given grace in our lives, it becomes not a choice to always put it before us whenever dealing with offenders.. “For those Who Love Much Have Been Forgiven Much”. Jesus said that the woman who washed His feet with her tears loved much, and, because of this, she was forgiven much. “Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” Luke 7:47

Sharing is required:

After reaping its benefits, it becomes an obligation to use it, maintain it and to share it with our offenders, even under pressure.. “To whom much is given, much will be required” (Luke 12:48). The main point here, After we are given much of (God’s grace) we become responsible towards glorifying God then we should always apply our brakes first remembering to give much by using this grace while dealing with others’ attacks..

Many are missing the point

It is His free gift of grace the reason why we (everyone of us) still alive, yet today so many are walking dead believing that they hold in their hands the card of entitlement, and they blow through this life acting like they literally own it..Surely, this will only last for a season..

He never forget:

But God our Father always gives many chances, He also forgives much and forsakes a little -in order to build our character up-, but above all else, He never forget..

God’s Joy

Father what Your Joy means to me without divining into any mere aspect of one debate of doctorins nor theology.

Father I find my joy by bringing You praise; Lord I pray and I pray, pray and I know that You know and I know what’s in my heart. Break it Lord and then restore it Father to be like Yours. Then give me the strength and courage, wisdom to stand up once again on my feet and You push me to Go raising praising Your name every second of everyday. Then I pray again asking that You may Preserve me Lord for a part from You I have no life, no hope.. in Your Holy presence there always will be fullness and Joy!!

Zephaniah 3:17

The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

God Does Not Need You

Most people, including professing Christians, have the wrong understanding about the true foundation of our relationship with God the Father.. Wake up!!

God is need of “NOTHING” Not-A-One-Thing! We are perishable being the Father gives us our breath and He who takes it away. Throughout history when people boasted because they “felt” special or mighty; God did not cry or mourn.. instead He said “Who’s Next let’s go”. When we try to take credit for following Him and doing His good deeds, He reminds us that we ought to serve the least of these first…He is the almighty, the I AM that I AM.. the Creator of “ALL”. He is completely self-sufficient and does not depend nor need us or anyone else..He is self-existent One.

Acts 17:24-25

24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

But, since He is “LOVE”; He loves “All” mankind unconditionally regardless of our tribe, race, color, or tongue..We need Him for everything and in all things here on earth as it is in heaven..there is no true life without Him, through unconditional trust and Faith no one can separate us from His Love, His mercy and His grace and can even deny us the right to accept His free gift of salvation.

Romans 8:38-39

8 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God does not need you, He wants you

You can have it “All”

You can have it “All” Lord is easy said than done. Some pray Lord you can have it all..but do they really have the courage to fully surrender and totally submit?

The early disciples couldn’t comprehend this commitment rather wanted the glory by letting everyone know that they were the disciples of Jesus when things were good and calm but when Jesus asked them to give up everything, fully surrender they said this is too hard who is going to listen nor obey these commands and left Him..but the 12 they said through Peter who else are we to follow?! We know that you’re the Holy One..

Can He have it all, now? I ask myself every second of everyday if I am fit to call myself a true follower who doesn’t follow all the time..truth if it matters!!

The Windy City

Almost 3:00 am here in the Windy City our room on the 37th floor blessed by His grace to sleep much closer tonight to the Father than normal.. you know what I mean!

In awe, full of great reverence while staring at the miles and miles of the beauty of His creations; deeply grasping how much more He the creator even more divinely beautiful.

Still, the sirens are going off every 5 minutes screaming throughout the city, still this city not totally asleep 💤 wondering if it will ever get to be..

God Father I call unto You to hear my prayers 🙏🏻 proclaiming Your mighty name to be victorious over this City..come and have it Your way, come bring Your Rushing Wind to refresh in peace and love ❤️ this Windy City.. pray like Jesus, hope like Jesus for “everyone” without any conditions without any selfish expectations..it is simply the right thing to do..why waste another day..I know the One who gives Freedom and blesses who calls the Wind and calms the seas and moves the mountains..my King and savior, redeemer..Emmanuel my God forever and ever will be in control in who is in control. Amen!

The Ancient & Modern “Elite”, But Love?

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Cor. 12:8-9)

So Paul realized that he was spiritually attacked and started losing sight of God’s purpose for him through satan’s deceptions of feeling puffed up “Preeminence” because of his ministry, in the same way the “Elite” Pharisees and Sadducees lived, and satan convinced them to only focus on the knowledge of the Old Testament and perform outwards ceremonies, uphold an elite self-image and strictly enforcing the laws of Moses. To overcome this attack; Paul sought the Father Jesus’ ways of growing and maturing to be complete in more inward ways through deep and constant relationship -with God the Father- proved that he is a faithful follower.

You see after God opened Paul’s heart to know the difference -between being worldly strongly rooted in vs being heavenly strongly led- Paul had to face his boosting, pride and fought satan back; then made a point to warn the Church in Corinth and all of us regards the danger of self boasting about our knowledge of the Word without living it through thick and thin and actively pursuing His eternity.

Yes, we all face strong spiritual times and face weak and dry spiritual ones as well (full of doubts) Therefore, we must be ready to reload, daily equipped to fight the good fight and aim to Finish the race..always be alert for the schemes and deceptions and lies of the common enemy and stay focused on the “Big Prize” the heavenly one, none of us is immuned from facing these spiritual warfares schemes and attacks, let’s continually wear and use His Full Armor as the Father commands..

Paul last words to Timothy “7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course (race), I have kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:7

But “True Faith” is revealed when it is seen in action. Before ascending  Jesus announced that He gave one very simple and profound commandment “Love one another.” But we crave it, we believe that love is one of the main requirement of Jesus’ true followers.

Jesus explained, in John 13:34-36

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” 36 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered, “Where I go, you cannot follow Me now; but you will follow later.

Jesus kept it simple. He taught and demonstrated that love is an action Not just in words and body language. As John explains, “Let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:18).

Forgiveness Christ-like

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34).
Forgiveness Christ-like:

We must realize that God is at work even in the bad things that happen to us. God is at work in the midst of situations where people have wronged us through actions or words. God is sovereign, and He can take evil and bring good out of it. We can either focus on what has been done to us in the past or we can focus on what God can do through what has happened to us.

How refreshing to see an example of true Christ-like forgiveness. When we forgive as Christ forgave us, others are refreshed. There is love, unity, and joy. Unforgiveness and bitterness poison relationships (Hebrews 12:14-15) “Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled”.

Accepting back into our lives a person who has wronged us is usually the last thing we want to do. We would rather build a wall and shut that person out. But Jesus asks us to accept that person (Romans 15:7) “7 Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God”.

Onesimus returned to his legal owner (Philemon) and asked for forgiveness. But we are to take others back and forgive them even if they do not ask for forgiveness! Why?!!

Because that is what Jesus did. He hung on the Cross and said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34).

Fatherhood Relationship

But the relationship (With the Father) established by creation is of a far greater dependence, so that nothing God has made can exist without His support. Out of human acts it is only music that bears some resemblance to this, for when the voice is silent there is no longer any song.

God, then, is within all creation, because He is its cause. He is within every stone and leaf and child. Nothing, with life or without, evil or good, can fail to contain Him as the source of its energy, its power, its existence; He is “the soul’s soul.” Not only, therefore, must I train myself to see with reverence that everything contains Him, but I must especially realize His intimacy and relationship to myself.

The Abiding Presence of the Holy Ghost in the Soul – BEDE JARRETT, O.P. 1918

“YOU ARE All WE NEED”

Away from you my compass had failed me again and again!

I have told You Father all about the dark places that I once had been,

I was extremely alone, yet, the king of my own.

I have told you all about the places that I wanted once to go, to seize my supreme soul and build a kingdom of my own.

You told me “I LOVE you son, HURRY!, HURRY!, DON’T GO”

I will guide you to where you belong and suppose to be,

There, my Spirit will build you a HOME!.

I have told You Father, You were the One light that led me back, to the place where I had once started from,

Only when I told You “YOU ARE All I NEED”,

In Your Love, You built me a Home!

And then You Lord became the King of my throne,

With You now, I am ever set FREE!!,

and most certainly where I am suppose to be,

“YOU ARE All WE NEED”,

Jesus.

The Empowerment of the Holy Spirit

We can not assume that a few nonbelievers are ready to receive Christ just because a Christian knocks on their door, presents them with a gospel tract or video, and challenge them to a salvation decision or public call for decision at the alter!!.

The body of Christ must be based on believers who are empowered by the Holy Spirit – effective witnessing especially with people we know well, requires faithful prayer, patience, and genuine love while gently sharing the gospel starting with

  1. Who Jesus is?
  2. Why He gave His life?
  3. Who Jesus is not?

For many, it can mean years of witnessing and discipling before they come to faith. Following Christ is a journey, and it begins (before the decision) takes place.

The Holy Spirit prepares a person’s heart for the gospel message; persuading nonbelievers to make immature Faith or Salvation decision is a big mistake. Only God can and will do God’s works, our commission is to share and proclaim the gospel relying on the Holy Spirit empowerment to do the rest!

We have to meet them where they are at in life and share with them Who Jesus is? Why He gave His life? Who Jesus is not? Without judging or condemning rather genuinely Love them. In most cases addiction is the real mask of deep years of hurts, frustrations and sufferings; this is why we gently should be seeking the change of hearts first (healing the poisoned roots) before attempting to seek the change of behaviors, and together live and walk hands in hands the solution from the beginning and every step of the way.

The Father commands us not to get overwhelmed or disappointed if we don’t get followed “it is not all about us”, rather rely on the Holy Spirit to do His work which may take years to come to revalation. Remember, we should be seeking change of hearts first then change of behaviors and change of lifestyle will follow.

Love this testimony from Pastor Steve Dodson (AG):

Many apples were left behind. Some had fallen out of the bucket when the harvesters came through. Others were discarded, because they were damaged and had (scars or bruises). Steve gave some of these (Neglected Apples) to some of the women in the church. They peeled and canned the apples. Later, they made beautiful pies.
Through this experience, God revealed to Steve that many people in the community were like those apples, waiting to be gathered. (Neglected people) are passed over by Christians who look on the outside and conclude that the people are unreachable. Steve shared his experience with his congregation. It energized the church. Believers began gathering neglected people, and a variety of newcomers visited the church. Some were neglected as children. Some were addicts and alcoholics. They were scarred and bruised by sin and suffering. God made something beautiful of them. They began to take part in the life of the church. Some are now deacons in the church.

The decision to follow Christ is not the finish line, but an open door to a life devoted to following Jesus. The goal of evangelism is not just a salvation decision but also a life of discipleship; making new disciples..of every tribe, every tongue, every race and every nation at every corner of this broken, hopeless and corrupt world.

May His Holy Spirit guide us, inspire us, be our strength and our shield while doing His works. Amen!

Faith

Faith is the beginning never was designed to be the end!

Does Faith in the Lord means just believing that He is who He says He is, the true I AM? The solo creator of all the seen and unseen, the known and the unknown, our One almighty God who reigns above all, The “Emmanuel” who is always with us commanding us daily to be strong and courageous and to never be dismayed but be His disciples who go out and through His mighty Holy Spirit make disciples.

Then what does faith truly means, how can we obtain it and sustain it, and if it is not just believing in who God says He is, then what?

Faith: According to Wikipedia is defined as confidence or trust in a being, object, living organism, deity, view, or in the doctrines or teachings of a religion. Faith may also refer to a hope or belief, rational or irrational, in a certain outcome. Faith refers to a belief as it is not based on proof.

Faith: According to C.S. Lewis: “We must not encourage in ourselves or others any tendency to work up a subjective state which, if we succeeded, we should describe as “faith”, with the idea that this will somehow insure the granting of our prayer…. The state of mind which desperate desire working on a strong imagination can manufacture is not faith in the Christian sense. It is a feat of psychological gymnastics.”

Faith: According to the Bible is believing in what is true, and has two elements:

  1. Being convinced of the truth, being certain of reality, having evidence of unseen things, and
  2. Believing, hoping in, embracing, seizing the truth.

Heb 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Mark 17:20

20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. ”

Abraham, an Example of Faith

Rom 4:22-25 (Phi) This was the “faith” which was counted unto him for righteousness. Now this counting of faith for righteousness was not recorded simply for Abraham’s credit, but as a divine principle which should apply to us as well. Faith is to be consider as righteousness to us also, who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, who was delivered to death for our sins and raised again to secure our justification.

Vassilios Papavassiliou – Thirty Steps to Heaven

Faith: Is Step 30 to Heaven, and “is part of the 3 virtues of Christianity, these 3 virtues are (Faith, Hope, Love) are the Holy Trinity to our spiritual life…

Many People do not understand why faith is a virtue, for faith is usually understood as nothing more than “Believing” in something that cannot be proven. But when we speak of faith as Christian virtue, we are speaking of something more specific than this. It is not virtue to believe.. .Unfortunately many think of religious faith in this way. But that kind of faith is far too rudimentary to deserve a place at the top of the ladder of Christian virtues. Faith as “the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1) is the beginning of Faith, but not its end.

Faith, like hope and love, describes our RELATIONSHIP with God. The reason faith lies at the summit of the ladder is that it both shapes our relationship with Him and, at the same time, is the FRUIT of that relationship. It is therefore better understood as TRUST, FAITHFULNESS, LOYALTY, and DEDICATION. The more we come to KNOW GOD, the more we TRUST in Him and the more we dedicate ourselves to Him. And yet, the greater our faith, the more we GROW in the other virtues. We cannot begin to ascend the ladder without faith, and yet the higher we ascend, the more faith INCREASES”
